Kurdish Youth’20: Similarities, Differences, Changes

As the Kurdish Studies Center, together with the Yaşama Dair Foundation and Rawest Research, we have published the report of the survey titled Kurdish Youth ’20: Similarities, Differences, and Changes.
Supported by the British Embassy and Heinrich Böll Stiftung Association Türkiye Representation, the study aims to gain a closer understanding of Kurdish youth aged 18-30 living in Türkiye. In this context, the main themes of the research are the similarities and differences between Kurdish youth and the general youth population of Türkiye, as well as the future plans and worldviews of Kurdish youth.
Within the scope of the research, a survey was conducted with 1,473 participants aged 18-30 across 8 provinces, along with in-depth interviews with 100 individuals. Additionally, the research was deepened through 16 focus group meetings including youth from various categories.
The collected data was categorized under topics such as cultural structure, identity, migration, mother tongue, discrimination, secularization, political tendencies, and de-radicalization.
